This WebQuest was designed for third graders to research behavioral and physical characteristics of different animals that allow the animals to adapt to their environment and life needs. Students will be introduced to the concepts of camouflage, mimicry, migration, hibernation, instinct and learned behavior. Students will work in pairs and choose an animal from a selected group to research. After conducting their research, students will make a poster of their animal in its habitat with adaptive traits to present to the class on the final day of the WebQuest.
